Single session counselling
Single session counselling is different to traditional, weekly counselling. During single session counselling, the focus is more on solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring areas of your life or history in depth.
Once you have identified your goal, we will work together during one session to understand what may be going on for you, consider any change factors, and rehearse or plan how to embed them into your everyday life. You will leave with a better idea of how to move forward and what resources you can draw on.
I work both online (Zoom) and in-person. I hold face-to-face sessions at Therapy Space East in Shoreditch and at Aashna in North London (N12).
Who is it for?
Single session counselling is suitable for anyone who is looking to tackle a specific dilemma or is feeling stuck, and is ready to take action. It is also helpful for people with non-clinical emotional challenges.
Single session counselling is a useful option for people who are time-poor and unable to commit to regular therapy, but are looking for prompt support from a qualified counsellor for focussed problem-solving.
A single session is not suitable for somebody in crisis, or someone looking to explore multiple themes which require more time and space.
How much does it cost?
A single session costs £75 for a 50-minute session. Whilst single session counselling is designed to provide a timely response to an immediate problem within just one session, there may be an option for follow up sessions, if that feels appropriate.
