What is a Wellbeing MOT?
In the same way that you would take your car for an MOT, or you would go to a medical practitioner for a review of your physical health, a Wellbeing MOT is a helpful audit of your emotional health.
Think of a Wellbeing MOT as a moment to take a more holistic look at what is going on in your life, what may be bringing up difficult emotions and how you are managing them. It can be tailored around a specific challenge or it could be used to take a broader look at your life and lifestyle and any changes you would like to make. It’s also a chance to discuss your general mental wellbeing and what strategies and tools you already have in place and whether there’s any further support that you can access.
Who is it for?
A Wellbeing MOT is ideal for someone who wants to spend some time with a qualified counsellor without the commitment of regular therapy. It may also be appropriate for someone who is interested in making sense of any specific patterns of behaviour and their impact, without going into the depth of regular therapy.
A Wellbeing MOT can be a useful and quick way to help you feel less stuck, and more empowered to take additional steps to better support your mental wellbeing.
As with regular counselling, a Wellbeing MOT will be confidential, you wont be judged and you will be treated with compassion and respect.
How much does it cost?
A Wellbeing MOT costs £140 for a 90 minute session. There will be a form to complete beforehand and it is up to you whether you would like subsequent counselling sessions, or if you want to book in for a Wellbeing MOT every now and then, to simply check in.
I work both online (Zoom) and in-person. I hold face-to-face sessions at Therapy Space East in Shoreditch and Aashna in North London (N12).
